Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG)
At Applebee Wood School, we are committed to providing a comprehensive Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) programme that is tailored to the needs of all students. Our aim is to inspire ambition, develop essential life skills, and encourage students to explore a wide range of future opportunities while challenging stereotypes and broadening horizons.
We want every pupil to leave Applebee Wood with a clear and realistic plan for their future that reflects their individual strengths, interests and aspirations. To achieve this, CEIAG is fully embedded within our curriculum, ensuring that careers learning is meaningful, relevant and connected to students’ wider educational experiences.
Our Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 careers mappings, available below, demonstrate how CEIAG is delivered across the curriculum. You can also view an overview of our secondary careers provision.
Evaluating Our Careers Provision
We are committed to continually improving our careers programme. Our provision is regularly evaluated against the Gatsby Benchmarks using the Careers Compass framework. The Curriculum Lead works closely with our Enterprise Coordinator to monitor progress and ensure that our careers programme remains effective, relevant and of the highest quality.
