Coronavirous Update

CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

'Moor Hey School is open and will remain open until the government announces that all schools need to close (the Prime Minister gives updates every day at 5pm).

No-one knows when this announcement might be whether this week or later. We are NOT shutting the school.

We will close the school if the government shuts us or Public Health England tell us to as a result of a confirmed outbreak in the school OR if staffing levels get so low that we cannot maintain ratios (but that is not the case and unlikely to be the case in the next few days). We may need to double some classes up but WE ARE NOT SHUTTING YET.

If any children have serious underlying health issues (see the Gov.uk web-site) please keep them off as a precaution

If you are isolating with the family and you are struggling with no support please phone school 01772 336976

or email Julie Beaghan our Family Support officer on jbeaghan@moorhey.lancs.sch.uk and we will do what we can

Anyone who lives with someone who has a cough or a temperature should stay at home for 14 days (this has been announced by the government and means if any child is off school with a cough or temperature then the whole family need to be off school)

If your child shows symptoms (temperature and persistent cough) keep them off for 14 days (do not call 111) and the rest of the family as well - if it becomes clear it is COVID-19 (Coronavirus) inform school (01772 336976).

If a child develops possible symptoms in school we will send them home immediately
