I am the Headteacher at Moor Hey School and have been since September 2009. In this role I am a member of the Governing Body but as we are a small school, I am also the SENCo (SEN Co-ordinator) completed an MA in Education in 2015.
I am proud of everything that we have achieved in the last 10 years and due to dedicated staff and governors as well as a lot of parental support we continue to move from strength to strength. Although not all pupils start Moor Hey at the beginning of a Key Stage, we work very hard to settle them into school and to achieve their full potential by the end of Year 11.
When not at school, I enjoy looking after my 3 dogs (all rescue dogs from the RSPCA) and riding my young horse ‘Diego’. Currently I have one male and two female dogs, the boy is called Charlie, a Border Collie. The oldest girl (now 13) who is a Sheltie is called Rachel and our newest addition is an Akita called Foxy who is 6!
